Stuck Rubber Stopper in Carboy

During my last transfer to my secondary fermenter I mistakenly pushed the rubber stopper too far into the neck of the carboy.  Yesterday I kegged that beer, and I ended up having to push the stopper all the way into the carboy.  After swearing for several minutes, I cleaned the carboy and put it aside for another day.  Today I googled and found this solution:

And like magic, it actually worked.  At first I used a home depot plastic bag, but that wasn’t large enough.  I ended up using a 4 gallon kitchen trash bag, and it worked like a charm.
